Getting Started

Back in 1994, when I was still an undergraduate at Duke University, I started a website as part of Wendy Robinson's "Ethics and the Internet" class. It was a website of all my favorite things in life. Of course, then, the term "blog" was not coined yet and the world was just beginning to get used to the world wide web.
Today, it has flourished beyond control. To some, it's easy access to a world of resources, while others may take advantage of the internet to change, alter or influence decisions of the masses.

After leaving the "blogging" world for such a long time, and with some encouragements from friends, I decided to start my own personal blog.

In my field of expertise, I come across people from all walks of life. Most of them are affiliated in one way or another to environmental efforts, either way, my relationships (business, personal and professional) with them have been the gateways to understanding their philosophies, intellectual discourses, opinions, and beliefs on the environment.

And as an advocate for environmental protection, I hope to be able to gel all these human behavioral-related aspects of Malaysians and non-Malaysians to form coherent thoughts and understanding of how EcoKnights - non-profit environmental organisation which I am madly passionately involved in - can be the next mover and shaker of environmental protection in this country.

I hope to use this blog as a platform to voice my opinions on all issues - specifically related to my field of expertise of course - as it helps me lay down the thought processes I have. This blog would also be a great outlet for me to express my opinions on what I observe in the common marketplace when it comes to dealing with sustainability issues.

So sit back and enjoy the ramblings (if you indeed find it enjoyable) and most importantly of all, I hope this site serves as an eye-opening site which provides you with stories from "the other side".
